Early in June, I was very pleased to announce that Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff and I would be visiting China together in July.

The Liberal Opposition views the Canada-China relationship as a top priority, but the Harper government initially neglected it, and only recently recognized it. As Canada’s second-largest trading partner and a country with which Canada shares tremendous cultural and economic connections, we know it’s time for a New Partnership with China.

We also want your ideas for the general goals of this critical new partnership. That’s why I have created a website exclusively for you to feed in your suggestions – by email, on Facebook, onTwitter, and by posting comments directly.

 www.newpartnership.ca

As we move forward with developing a new plan for the Canada-China relationship, I hope you will use the tools on this website to participate and make your voice heard. Together, we can build a new partnership within which both of our countries can learn, grow, and prosper.

Thank you for your involvement.

Sincerely,

The Hon. Ujjal Dosanjh  – MP for Vancouver South – ਉੱਜਲ ਦੋਸਾਂਝ | 杜 新 志
